Sand Springs annually hosts special events including The Herbal Affair Festival in April, which is Oklahoma's oldest and largest herbal event; The Third Tuesday's On The Triangle Free Summer Concert Series, May through September; The Annual EuroMotor Extravaganza and The Annual Criterium Bicycle Race, both in June; The Annual Independence Day Fireworks Display on July 3rd; The Chamber of Commerce's Annual Christmas "Parade of Lights" is the oldest and biggest night time parade in Oklahoma - a perfect mix of excitement and beauty.
There are thirteen parks, nine tennis courts, one baseball complex with six fields, one softball complex with five fields and one soccer complex with eight fields. There is also one 18-acre urban fishing lake, a municipal golf course with a rolling terrain, and a rodeo arena.
Sand Springs is less than fifteen minutes from Keystone, and Skiatook Lakes. Our community has extensive walking, jogging, and cycling trails that wind throughout the community. Adult and adolescent sports programs are offered through the City Parks and Recreation Departments and local organizations.
