educationTo continue beyond the first two years of higher education, students can select from several excellent four-year colleges and universities near Sand Springs, each with particular strengths. Oklahoma State University at Tulsa lies a mere 10 minutes away; the University of Oklahoma at Tulsa is only a few miles farther, and Rogers State University is only a 45-minute drive from Sand Springs. Two private universities, the University of Tulsa and Oral Roberts University, are both only a short drive from Sand Springs, as are branch campuses of Langston University and Northeastern State University. In addition, the residential campus of OU at Norman is just over 100 miles away, while the residential campus of OSU at Stillwater is less than 60 miles from Sand Springs.
