Sand Springs was founded by Charles Page and his belief was to "Think Right". Our community continues to do this today. You will encounter the most friendly and most helpful people as you become acquainted with our town.

You always hear the term "Location, Location, Location". We have a unique location as we are located on the Arkansas River and only about ten minutes from most everything. We are about ten minutes from Shell Lake, Keystone Lake, Skiatook Lake, and even Tulsa. We are just in the right location without all of the congestion. We are situated in the heart of the recreation area. We have Discoveryland, Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino, and The Canyons at Blackjack Ridge Golf Course. We also have a BMX Race Track, Rodeo Arena, swimming pool, and numerous youth sports fields. We have bicycle trails, walking/running trails that are connected to the KATY Trail System, and we even have great motorcycle routes. If you want to be recreated, you can do it here.

We have an excellent school system, with opportunities for everyone. We have had several recognized as the Oklahoma "Teacher of the Year". We had the Oklahoma "Middle School Principal of the Year" last year. Our School Board is always looking at ways to improve our children's education and experience in order to better prepare them for their future, and our Chamber of Commerce is supportive through our Oklahoma Scholars Program as well as other avenues.

We have a beautiful historic downtown area, centered on our Charles Page Memorial Triangle Park. This area features dinning, shopping, and entertainment. And of course, you can find these things throughout our community.
